Student Activity Friendship Corner kicks off

The first edition of student cross-cultural communication event Friendship Corner was held on March 26, 2014 in SSDPP. Some 20 international and Chinese students from SSDPP and BNU Academy of Disaster Reduction and Emergency Management participated the event.

The new event was developed upon the framework of SSDPP’s brand student activity Thursday Cultural Movie Night. Thanks to students’ innovation, the event was restructured to cultivate deeper and better dialogue between Chinese and international students.

Wednesday’s trial went smoothly. Chinese students firstly played a segment from the American TV series Friends before students engage in all-around discussion on the friendship and love in American society. The event proceeded with international students presented a segment from the Taiwan-produced TV series, Ai Shang Zha Meile, or literally Fall in Love with Zha Meile.  

The event will be held every Wednesday night from 7pm at BNU New Main Building 2033. Anyone who is interested is welcome to be a part of it. Contact person of the event is SSDPP 2013-admitted student Gina Holly geeholly@gmail.com.
