Spring Event: Youth League Activity of "Painting with Leaves, Double Carbon First" of 2022 MSW Class at SSDPP (Zhuhai Campus) Held Successfully

On the one hand, in order to implement the requirements of the "Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labor Education in Universities, Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Era" of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council and promote the students to establish correct labor concepts and attitudes and, on the other hand, to carry forward the spirit of Chinese aesthetic education and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's instruction of persisting in cultivating morality and cultivating people and doing a good job in aesthetic education, the 2022 MSW Class at SSDPP (Zhuhai Campus) carried out a labor education activity of "Painting with Leaves, Double Carbon First" at Zhuhai Campus. The students actively took part in the event.

The students cleaned the public areas of campus in groups, focusing on cleaning up fallen leaves and garbage in green belts and on roads. They performed their respective duties with clear division of labor, and carefully cleaned up all sanitary corners. After the leaf sweeping activity, the students collected fallen leaves on site and started to create works with the leaves.

In the leaf sweeping activity, the students wore vests and masks and swept the fallen leaves with given cleaning tools. The event was organized in an orderly manner, and the participants were enthusiastic with a clear division of labor. They made full use of their tools to sweep the fallen leaves on the road. Some volunteers were responsible for sweeping leaves into piles, while others responsible for transporting the piles to the trash cans. After nearly two hours of hard work, the road was restored to its original clean appearance.

After the leaf sweeping activity, the students selected some fallen leaves to create all kinds of works, such as the Koi in Swan Lake, Lei Feng in March, birds on the branches, or Van Gogh's starry sky, flying hot air balloon and beautiful girls, allowing wisdom and aesthetics to collide, creativity and inspiration to coexist, and showing their outstanding creative talent.

General Secretary Xi Jinping once said: "We must firmly establish the concept of labor being the most glorious, the most noble, the greatest, and the most beautiful." SSDPP will further deepen the reform of labor education work, form a normalization of labor education, regularly organize and carry out labor education work, guide the students to advocate, respect and love labor so as to promote their diversified and comprehensive development.
