Youth First in Rural Revitalization: SSDPP's Exchange with the Student Rural Revitalization Association of Tsinghua University Comes to A Successful End

In response to the national strategy and the launch of rural revitalization in the new era, at 14:00 pm on March 30, 2023, the General Branch of the Communist Youth League of SSDPP organized the Youth League members of SSDPP to have an in-depth exchange with the Student Rural Revitalization Association of Tsinghua University. Shen Haotong, Secretary of the General Branch of the Communist Youth League of SSDPP, Teacher Liu Danqing, Secretary of Student Affairs Office, President Cai Zhenghao and Vice President Zhang Wenzh of the Student Rural Revitalization Association of Tsinghua University, Liang Sicheng of Funing Branch of the Student Rural Revitalization Association of Tsinghua University as well as several key members of the association and some Youth League members of SSDPP participated in the event.

The first part of the event was to visit red scene spots and experience the Tsinghua culture. Led by the professional guides of Tsinghua University, our delegation entered from the west gate and visited the common scene spots such as Tsinghua Second Gate, the auditorium, the Sundail and the Land of Woods and Waters. The detailed introduction of the guide gave us a clear picture of the history and development of Tsinghua University, and we were deeply impressed by the classic and unique buildings while walking at the campus.

After visiting the red scenic spots, the activity proceeded to the second stage: interactive exchange on the theme of rural revitalization. The event was held in the classroom of the Department of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering at Tsinghua University, presided over by Zhang Wenzhe, Vice President of the Student Rural Revitalization Association of Tsinghua University.

Cai Zhenghao, President of the Student Rural Revitalization Association of Tsinghua University, introduced the basic situation of the association, including its establishment background, operation mode, service form, and operation effectiveness, vividly and stereoscopically showcasing the achievements and outstanding demeanor of the association.

Subsequently, Liang Chengsi, Chairman of Funing Branch of the association, introduced the whole process of the team's development in Funing, Jiangsu. Based on local advantages, they strived to promote local development through cultural and creative products, achieving outstanding results.

Then, our Youth League members had a heated discussion with the Association members. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on academic research, social practice and output content, providing new ideas for future work and study.

Finally, Teacher Shen Haotong and Teacher Liu Danqing made a summary of the exchange activity. They introduced the professional background and disciplinary advantages of SSDPP, hoping to strengthen cooperation between both parties in the future.

At the same time, they encouraged the participants, as young people in the new era, to fully utilize their disciplinary advantages and excellent platforms, and contribute to the rural revitalization and the realization of the Chinese dream.

After that, the event came to a successful conclusion.
