Winners of 2012 SSDPP Photo Contest Announced

Winners of the 2012 SSDPP Photo Contest announced on Wednesday, April 25. The picture entitled “Father and Son” by student Chen Junyou snatched Top Award. The Second Award is shared by the pictures “Passenger” by Tang Mingjin, “Impression of Beichuan County” by Liu Xin and ‘Background Color’ by Sha Shengde. The Third Award recipients are Huang Haoran, Huang Qingbo, Wu Hao, Wang Yang and Li Yafang.

The contest drew a total of 50 entries from students of the school since its launch on March 8 this year. After the preliminary screening, 25 of them got to the final round. The award-winning photographs were selected through anonymous voting by SSDPP students and faculty members.

Ni Yingnan, an avid photography fan who is also a 2008-admitted student of BNU was invited to the award ceremony to give an introductory lecture on the basics of photography.

This is the third year that SSDPP holds a photo contest to encourage students to get to know society better and capture intriguing moments through camera lens. This year, students are also encouraged to captures pictures on campus to mark the upcoming 110th founding anniversary of Beijing Normal University.
