Students of SSDPP Present the 2023 Academic Annual Conference of the Chinese Sociological Association

The 2023 Annual Conference of the Chinese Sociological Association, hosted by the Chinese Sociological Association and organized by Nankai University, was held at the Balitai Campus of Nankai University from July 7 to 9, 2023.


Themed on “Chinese Path to Modernization and the New Mission of Chinese Sociology”, this annual conference aims to explore the path of Chinese-style civilization in the context of great historical changes, and respond to the real and major problems in China’s social development by identifying problems, looking for laws and increasing topics regarding major transition and issues facing the country.


A few postgraduates of SSDPP attended and addressed the event.


Li Pengyang, an academic graduate student enrolled in 2021, was present at the "Sub-forum on Child Development and Society" and gave a speech titled "Siblings Structure and Siblings: The Chain Mediation Effect of Parental Preference and Parent-child Attachment".


Guo Yiliang, a MSW student enrolled in 2022, delivered a speech titled "Study on the Impact of Boarding System on Role Learning and Self-awareness of Rural Children from the Perspective of Ecosystem - Taking Primary School A in Yizhang City as An Example".


Lin Junwei, a MSW student enrolled in 2022, was present at the "5th Public Welfare Charity Research Forum: China Experiment on Modernization of Public Welfare Charity", and gave a speech titled "different paths to the same goal: configuration analysis of sustainable development paths for social work institutions from the perspective of an open system".


Xu Mengzhuo, a MSW student enrolled in 2022, participated in the "Youth Sociology Forum: Chinese Path to Modernization and Youth Growth", and delivered a speech titled "Stigma and Dignity: A Study on the Effort-based Identity Practice of Vocational High School Students' Promotion to Scholars".
