Shining Stars Bao Ruiji - Follow your heart to wherever you want to go

Bao Ruiji, a member of the Communist Youth League, is a student of the 2020 MPM Class at SSDPP, under the guidance of Professor Qu Zhiyong and Professor Sun Xiaomin. She has won the National Scholarship, the First Prize Scholarship of Beijing Normal University, the title of Outstanding Student Cadre, the title of Outstanding Individual in Social Practice of BNU, and the Jingshi Cup Excellence Award, etc. She's participated in a number of national, provincial and ministerial projects and had one SSCI paper published. She once got involved in the summer social practice activities and went to Jiangxi Province to carry out field survey. Her research report was awarded An Excellent Research Report on Social Practice of "going to the countryside" and "returning home" in 2021, and her research group was awarded the Excellent Research Group of BNU. She once served as the director of the Literature and Art Department of the Graduate Association of SSDPP and organized many cultural activities such as Winter Party. As a photography enthusiast, she has been constantly improving her photography skills.

Understand the world in research

Bao Ruiji devotes most of her time and energy to scientific research, hoping to understand the world through research and try her best to make the world better. She's now focusing on the study of mental health intervention and service, and once served as a core member in a number of national, provincial and ministerial projects. Under the guidance of her tutor, she has studied many large-scale mental health surveys at home and abroad, read relevant literatures, and participated in many scientific research activities such as scale selection and preparation, data analysis, and report writing. She's been to Henan Province for field survey, measurement, intervention and promotion for many times. She once participated in the online communication activities of Seoul National University of Education, and took online courses of the University of Melbourne and the University of Oxford to constantly improve herself.

Understand society in practice

In addition to research activities, Bao Ruiji has actively participated in social practice. Under the guidance of Teacher Xu Xiaoxin, she went to Jiangxi Province to carry out field survey together with her classmates, made clear the current situation of ecological protection through interviews and observations, and wrote a report. She also took an active part in voluntary services and served as a volunteer for epidemic prevention on campus for many times.

Record life with a camera

During her tenure as the director of the Literature and Art Department of the Graduate Association of SSDPP from September 2020 to June 2022, Bao Ruiji conscientiously fulfilled her responsibilities and strived to make our cultural life colorful. In the 2021-2022 academic year, she participated in the production of SSDPP's dance video of "do you want to dance" and the 2020 and 2021 Winter Party activities, promoting the development of literary and artistic activities at SSDPP.

She is crazy about photography and constantly develops her photography expertise. Since joining the photography society in September 2020, she has actively participated in activities inside and outside the society. In November 2021, she participated in the "Autumn Photography Contest" and won the first prize of popularity, and her relevant works have been made into postcards by the "Youth Beijing Normal University". In April 2022, she participated in BNU's anniversary photography exhibition with the theme of "learning from everything", and three of her works were selected into the anniversary album. Since she joined the official micro blog photo submission team of Beijing Normal University in March 2022, she has contributed a dozen photos, which were used and forwarded by the official micro blog for many times. In June 2022, her works "Flowers and Whites" won the second prize of Beijing Normal University in the 2022 online work creation contest to celebrate the 20th National Congress of CPC and the 120th anniversary of Beijing Normal University, and the works has been recommended to the Sixth National College Students Network Culture Festival.

This is her seventh year at Beijing Normal University. At the campus of Beijing Normal University, Bao Ruiji has been exploring, pursuing and growing step by step. Keeping in mind the motto of "Learning to be an Excellent Teacher and Acting as an Exemplary Person" of Beijing Normal University, she will continue to work hard and forge ahead bravely.
