The 2022 Graduation Ceremony of SSDPP at Beijing Normal University Successfully Held



At 10 a.m. on June 22, SSDPP of Beijing Normal University held the graduation ceremony with the theme of "forging ahead at youth for a bright future" online and offline simultaneously. The leaders, teachers and the 2022 master and doctoral graduates from Beijing campus and Zhuhai campus were present at the event. Zhao Shuo, Chairman of the Graduate Association, presided over the ceremony.

With the broadcast of graduation video, the ceremony kicked off. At the beginning of the event, all the teachers and students rose to sing the national anthem.

At the second session of the ceremony, Mr. Tian Donghua, Secretary of the General Party Branch, delivered a speech. In combination with the fight against COVID-19 and his own learning experience, Mr. Tian encouraged the graduates to have high aspirations and pursue a valuable life. We should, he said, increase our knowledge reserve, enhance our ability, work hard and do our best to stand out in our posts.

At the third session, the leaders and teachers of SSDPP announced the names of outstanding graduates and the winners of the awards for excellent papers. Secretary Tian Donghua read out the name list of the municipal and university-level outstanding graduates. Mr. Xu Xiaoxin announced the names of winners of the awards for excellent master's thesis and the names of finalists of the awards for excellent master's thesis. Li Haiyan announced the names of outstanding graduates of SSDPP.

At the fourth session, representatives of graduates and alumni delivered speeches. Huang Guan, the representative of doctoral graduates, Zhang Bingyi, the representative of master graduates, Xun Lijun, the representative of MSW graduates, Zhang Yi, the representative of MPA graduates, and Hu Nan, the representative of alumni, delivered a speech successively. They reviewed their respective experience in doctoral and postgraduate studies, expressed their gratitude to the teachers and students who had given help and support to them, and wished SSDPP a prosperous future.

At the fifth session, Mrs. Li Haiyan, Deputy Dean of SSDPP, gave a lecture on the Alumni Association. She briefly described the history and significance of the founding of the Alumni Association and expressed gratification at the achievements made by previous alumni. Since its establishment, she said, the Alumni Association of SSDPP has contacted more than 1500 graduates as a "big family" of our alumna. She welcomed the new graduates and hoped that the alumni association would make greater contributions to the liaison and exchange of SSDPP's students.

Finally, Mr. Tian Donghua made a summary. He congratulated the 2022 graduates on successfully completing their studies. He thanked the students for their support and understanding of our work. SSDPP is, he said, the eternal home of the alumni, and it welcomes graduates to come back to BNU from time to time.

After the meeting, the 2022 graduates took a group photo with the leaders and teachers of SSDPP.
