To promote mutual understanding between teachers and students and help postgraduate freshmen choose tutors, the School of Social Development and Public Policy (SSDPP) of Beijing Normal University held an online meeting between teachers and students on October 29, which was presided over by Teacher Liang Weihua. Masters of public administration (MPA) and masters of social work (MSW) who were enrolled in 2020 as well as more than 20 teachers attended the event.

During the two-hour meeting, the teachers introduced their academic background, research field and experience in guiding postgraduate students, and answered the students' questions in detail.

This meeting has enhanced the understanding between teachers and students, which is not only beneficial for freshmen to choose tutors according to their own situation, but also conducive to the interaction between teachers and students in the future. Through the online interaction, some students said, they had a deeper understanding of our professional orientations and a stronger sense of identity and belonging to SSDPP.
