During the epidemic period, in order to help the academic master and doctoral students graduate on schedule, the academic counseling office of SSDPP gave a special online lecture on the defense and explanation of theses of postgraduates and doctoral students on March 18, 2020. The lecture was given by Professor Tian Ming, Doctoral Supervisor and Assistant Dean of SSDPP. Deputy Secretary of SSDPP Party Branch Zhang Ranran, Office Director and Academic Secretary Liang Weihua, Academic Assistant Liu Danqing, Assistant Manager Wei Jinpengh and Zhang Bingyi of the Academic Counseling Office attended the event.

First of all, Professor Tian Ming inquired about the graduates' physical health, home study and living conditions, as well as their graduation thesis completion status. He soothed the students' anxiety and stressed that the graduation thesis should be written on schedule. The quality of the graduation thesis, he said, should be strictly controlled despite the impact of the epidemic. After that, Professor Tian introduced in detail the process, time node, points for attention and requirements of graduation thesis writing. Finally, the relevant teachers present at the lecture gave a detailed answer to the questions raised by the graduates. The teachers stressed that despite the impact of the epidemic, the students still need to improve their learning efficiency and write papers at home with peace of mind. Doctors who have postponed their studies should work harder to strive for graduation. For any questions, they can turn to Office Director and Academic Secretary Liang Weihua and Academic Assistant Liu Danqing for help. In addition, Teacher Zhang Ranran talked about the employment of the graduates.

The online lecture attracted more than 30 postgraduates and doctoral students to get involved.
